Jenny Morris to MC the 2024 SA Olive Awards
Affectionately known as “The Giggling Gourmet,” renowned celebrity chef and adored TV personality, Jenny Morris has officially been announced as the MC for the 19th annual SA Olive Awards. Taking place on the 10th of September 2024 at Franschhoek Cellar in Franschhoek, this annual event acknowledges the finest in South African Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOOs).
A household name in South Africa and abroad, Jenny Morris has extensive experience in the culinary industry. Over the years, she has cooked for heads of state, hosted shows on Food Network, and written six successful cookbooks. She also created the cooking school, the CooksPlayground™, where she and her team teach practical hands-on cooking courses.
When asked about taking up the role of MC at the SA Olive awards, Jenny said: “I am ecstatic to be part of the event this year. EVOO forms an essential part of my kitchen, restaurant and cooking methods, and I have always respected the incredible work that goes into producing these superb oils. I am delighted to be part of such a notable event where we get to celebrate the dedication and craftsmanship of South African EVOO producers.”
