Half a dozen Best in SA awards for Waterfall City
Monday, 23 October 2023 – At the sumptuous African Property Awards ceremony held at the exclusive Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai on 19 October 2023, Waterfall Management Company received the Best Mixed-use Development in South Africa 2023-2024 award for Waterfall City. This is the ninth time in a decade that the development has been honoured with this title.
Other Best in SA 2023-2024 accolades garnered by Waterfall City at the event included Best Mixed-use Architecture, Best Development Marketing and Best Developer Website, with the latter two accredited to both Waterfall Management Company and Attacq, the strategic development partner of Waterfall City. These four awards are testament to the continuous evolution of this vibrant smart city in the heart of Gauteng.
In addition, Balwin Properties won awards for the Best Leisure Development in South Africa for the Munyaka Lifestyle Estate located in Waterfall City, as well as the Best Apartment/Condominium in South Africa for the Munyaka Penthouse. All six of these Best in SA wins also received nominations for Best in Africa accolades from the International Property Awards – Africa and Arabia chapter.
Now in their 31st year, the International Property Awards celebrate the very best projects and professionals in the industry worldwide, covering the regions of Asia Pacific, Africa and Arabia, Europe, USA and the Americas, as well as the UK. Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability.
The highest scoring, five-star winners from each category in Africa will be automatically put forward for re-judging against the five-star winners in the other regions of the world. Following this re-assessment, the 2023 International winners in each category will be identified as the ‘World’s Best’. These winners will be announced at a grand gala presentation dinner to be held at the Savoy Hotel in London on 22 February 2024.
Waterfall City has to date won Best Mixed-use Development in Africa eight times in nine years and Best International Mixed-use Development five times in six years. It is the second time that it has garnered the Best Developer Website in South Africa award.
