Mall of the South showcased all sorts of cuteness and fashionable attire at the annual Kids and Teens of the south and Miss Jo'burg South fashion events...
The first Miss Jo’burg South turned heads, on Friday the 27th of September 2019 in the Platinum Court at 7pm, as the Ryan Hignett Productions Dancers opened the show with their energising dance moves. G Boshoff emceed the event in the dapper suit from John Craig.
The legendary Kurt Darren entertained the audience with his classic tunes, new hits and was also on the panel of judges together with: Denise Dass Bhikha (former Miss India, first runner-up in Miss India World), Di Axon (Managing Director of Recruitment Company), Hanlery Bouwer (Events by Hanlery owner), Hester Smith (Mall of the South Centre Manager), Jacinda Louw-Schutte (model), Jade Axon (model), Nompumelelo Maduna (Miss South Africa 2019 top five finalist), Samantha Naidoo (Evercomm Heads of Sales and Marketing), Shadi Letoaba (Head Model Booker), Manlie Wagner (Model) and Anzelle von Staden (model).
The Miss Jo’burg South event was open to young females between the ages of 18 and 26. Mall of the South is very pleased to announce Michelle Moolman as the first Miss Jo’burg South winner, followed by first princess Tumi Matela and second princess Brittany Wait.
Michelle strutted her stuff and has walked away with the Miss Jo’burg South 2019/2020 title as well as amazing prizes including jet-setting off to the beautiful city of Rome, in Italy, to partake in the either in the 2020 Stella de Europa or 2020 Ragazza Cinema event (subject to availability) valued at R60 000, proudly sponsored by Rajoc. Michelle will also drive in a stylish Mazda 2 1.5 Dynamic Auto in Soul Red Crystal for six months, compliments of Mazda Johannesburg South, and experience the Key to the City at Gold Reef City, which included 2 nights accommodation for two with breakfast, Theme Park tickets and a R5 000 Gold Reef City gift card, all valued at R10 000.

The fashion fun did not end there. Mall of the South continued showcasing their fashion offering at the annual Kids & Teens of the south fashion event that took place on Saturday, the 28th of September 2019 in the Platinum Court at 11am. Ryan Hignett showed off more of his choreographic moves with the dynamic junior dancers from the Fusion Dance International Company. The audience was further entertained by the Twins as they sang their hearts out to popular hits, and of course emcee G who looked rad in the summery Refinery gear.
The kids and teens finalists showed off their adorable charm in the respective age categories and the following walked away with the Kids and Teens of the south titles: Manuela Pillay (three to five age category), Mosiako Kgatoentle (six to eight age category) Anel Venter (nine to 12 age category) and Chante Venter (13 17 age category).
All the category winners won a Gold Reef City breakaway that included a one-night stay for four with breakfast, Theme Park tickets and dinner valued at R3 990 each.
