DISNEY+ ARRIVES ON HISENSE FROM 6 OCTOBER IN SOUTH AFRICA
Disney+ to land on VIDAA, The Smart TV operating system of Hisense – The Leading Smart TV Manufacturer in The World
Subscribers will be able to access the greatest stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star, all in one place
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, 6 October 2023; Today, Disney+ the streaming service from The Walt Disney Company, Hisense South Africa, the number one selling Smart TV brand in South Africa and VIDAA, the leading smart TV OS powering Hisense, Toshiba, and other leading regional OEM brands, announced availability of the Disney+ streaming service in South Africa on selected Hisense VIDAA-powered Smart televisions from 06 October 2023.
On new models produced at the Hisense SA Industrial Park in South Africa, the Disney+ app will be pre-installed for seem-less streaming on Hisense TV. On the current ‘internet connected’ Hisense Smart TV’s in consumers home there will be an update and the Disney+ app will automatically appear. The model list of these supported Hisense Smart TV’s can be found on www.hisense.co.za/knowledge-center/.

With blockbuster films, series and exclusive Originals from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more, Disney+ offers fans the greatest stories, all in one place, and the next few months are set to be full of entertainment.
Customers will have access to upcoming and newly released films and series, including Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated “Loki” Season 2, Disney and Pixar’s Elemental (the most watched movie premiere of the year on Disney+), Disney’s live-action reimagining of the studio’s Oscar®-winning animated musical classic “The Little Mermaid, as well as the hit original comedy series “Only Murders in the Building”, with “The Kardashians”, “The Simpsons” and back seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy”, “9-1-1” and “Black-ish”.
With Disney+ Premium, users will have access to high-quality viewing, up to four concurrent streams, unlimited downloads on up to ten devices, and the ability to set up to seven different profiles, including the ability for parents to set a PIN to access age-appropriate content.
