Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of its direct flight service between Dar es Salaam and Johannesburg, scheduled to commence on 30 November 2024. The reintroduced route will feature five weekly flights between Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB), operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Passengers will experience the luxury features of the Boeing 737-9 MAX, offering 16 Business Class seats and 165 Economy Class seats.
To celebrate the resumption, Air Tanzania is offering promotional round-trip fares starting at USD $479. Flights from Dar es Salaam to Johannesburg will depart at 11:00 EAT, arriving at 13:15, while flights from Johannesburg to Dar es Salaam will depart at 14:15 SAT, arriving at 18:30.
Passengers on this route will enjoy substantial baggage allowances, with Economy Class, 3pcs of luggage, each 23kg and Business Class 4pcs of the same weight. Additionally, customers can purchase up to 8 extra pieces of luggage, offering further flexibility.
As an added incentive, members of the Twiga Miles loyalty programme will earn double miles on this route, making it even more rewarding to fly with Air Tanzania.
This route will also provide valuable connections via Dar es Salaam to international destinations such as China, Dubai, and India, as well as key regional destinations like Nairobi, along with other domestic locations including Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro, and Mwanza, ensuring smooth connection options.
