Clearwater Mall’s 10th Annual 10km Road Race, powered by Panorama Running Club, was nothing short of exhilarating as runners from all walks of life gathered to lace up and hit the pavement for a morning of fitness, fun, and friendly competition. With perfect weather and an unbeatable community spirit, the event was a resounding success, attracting seasoned athletes and enthusiastic families alike.

And the winners are…

The race was filled with electrifying performances, but it was Cornelia Joubert and Andries Sesedi who stole the show, crossing the finish line first in their respective categories. Cornelia Joubert claimed the title in the female category, followed closely by Keneilwe Sesing in second place, and Jana Calmer in third place. In the male category, Andries Sesedi crossed the finish line in first place, with Montsi Matsabe and Motlhamme Boikanyo rounding out the top three in second and third places, respectively.

Each of these outstanding athletes was awarded Clearwater Mall vouchers, with first place winners receiving vouchers to the value if R1,500, second place winners taking home R900 vouchers, and third place winners securing a voucher each in the amount of R700. In addition to the winners’ prizes, an impressive prize pool of R15000 was awarded across the various age categories.

The crowning moments of the day were undoubtedly the announcements of the King and Queen of the Mountain. Cornelia Joubert and Andries Sesedi not only claimed victory in their respective categories but also earned the prestigious titles of Queen and King of the Mountain*. Each was rewarded with an additional R1,000 Clearwater Mall voucher, Under Armour running shoes valued at R3,299, and a Skechers voucher worth R2,000. Talk about a royal reward!

*A marker is placed on the 10km race route and the first male & female to reach the marker is identified as the winner of the King & Queen of the Mountain. Winners are selected on the race route by a Panorama Running Club marshall.

A Community Celebration

Echoing the community spirit which is at the heart of the Clearwater Mall Road Race core, local businesses which are members of the LIFCO Residents Association – also came out in support, assisting with much needed hydration for the runners at the watering points along the route.
