19th September 2023, Comic Con Africa (CCA) is gearing up for Africa’s biggest pop culture and gaming event over Heritage Day Weekend, 22 to 25 September 2023. This year, CCA is presented by KFC, connected by Telkom and powered by Toyota. The KFC partnership is in its 3rd year, will focus on KFC as the official Wingman for Comic Con Africa, where it promises to deliver a packed line-up both in terms of delectable delights and finger-lickin’ good fun.

Inspired by the world of Comic Con, KFC will be bringing out the superheroes and the show-stoppers – with special menu items that cannot be tasted elsewhere along with exclusive giveaways, and mouthwatering surprises, which are sure to leave fans craving more.

Exclusive offerings from KFC during Comic Con Africa not only include a limited menu that features the Hero Meal, The Smashburger and the Pretty in Pink Meal, which tap into popular culture trends, as well as the Chachos and the Doom Burger. Those with a sweet tooth, will be able to tuck into Yum Yum it is Sundae and Kentucky Fried Oreos.  And for those looking to quench their thirst, Comic Con will also see the rise of The Galaxy Boba as well as the Pretty in Pink Milkshake.

KFC’s legendary Dunked Sauce, Zinger Sauce and The Colonel Dressing as well as limited edition fan drip, will also be available for purchase – bringing together a true Kentucky Town experience to the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec.

And in the Pop Culture Content Hall, KFC have catered for even its smallest fans, who can participate in the KFC Mini-Cricket Action Zone for a chance to test their cricket skills and win awesome prizes. Grown-up fans have not been forgotten and can sign up for the Zinger HOT AF (As Fire) Wings Challenge and stand a chance to win R5000.00 – if they dare. Be warned, the KFC Wingman is bringing the heat. In fact, the KFC Ghost Pepper Strips will be the ultimate test of your taste buds’ bravery!
