Difference and diversity be celebrated! The result of complex infusions of cultures, races, and languages is what makes South Africa a wonderfully unusual place to live in. So, this Heritage Day, celebrate the bouquet that is South Africa with a new iteration of the world’s most unusual gin, the Hendrick’s Gin Midsummer Solstice
The Hendrick’s Gin Midsummer Solstice is a delicate infusion of the original 13 botanicals of Hendrick’s Gin, but also includes an undisclosed number of deliciously floral notes, resulting in a gin that is perfect to enjoy on a beautiful spring day in the southern most country of Africa.
South Africa is steeped in heritage and characterised by diversity that extends from the country’s people, to its landscapes, to its 11 official languages, and many other unofficial languages. This Heritage Day, it makes sense to celebrate with a drink just as glorious, unusual, and infused with just as many – if not more – glorious notes as South Africa.
MidSummer Solstice Bramble
50ml Hendrick’s MidSummer Solstice
20ml Lemon Juice
12,5ml Sugar Syrup
5ml Créme De Mure
Build all ingredients in a rock glass over crushed ice. Churn, stack ice and drizzle mure. Garnish with blackberries and a lemon wedge, and serve.
A day in celebration of diversity calls for a drink infused with an array of essences and botanicals, as diverse as the country itself. Happy Heritage Day, from the curious team at Hendrick’s Gin.
The Hendrick’s Gin Midsummer Solstice, as well as the original Hendrick’s Gin are available countrywide in all good liquor stores, alternatively purchase them online at Makro and Normal Goodfellows.
