Entries for this year’s SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane race is hurtling towards capacity with a few days to go to the annual event at SuperSport Park Stadium in Centurion...
The event is one of the highlights on the racing calendar with thousands of women from all walks of life, and all levels of fitness lining up at the start for the 5km or 10km races. Entries are limited to 25 000 participants and are fast approaching capacity ahead of the 2 August closing date.
The SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane is far more than just a race as participants will be treated to live entertainment and a goodie bag with their medal making for a fun-filled outing.
Awesome prizes are up for grabs, including a Suzuki Celerio which can be won through a lucky draw. Participants must visit the Suzuki stand at SuperSport Park on race day and stay for the prize-giving presentation at 16:00.
This year’s race theme “Yes I Am…” which encourages the women of the capital city to embrace who they are as individuals and in the many roles they play. Inspirational entrepreneur and owner of Plus-Fab, Ouma Tema, who is one of the race’s loyal supporters encourage other women to join her for the challenge. “There is always great entertainment on the day and many prizes to be won – including a car!”
Women are welcome to bring their men to tackle the race, unfortunately, men are not eligible for prizes, but they will receive a goodie bag for their support.
More than 15 000 spectators are expected to line the streets to show their support to the participants.
The SPAR Women’s Challenge Tshwane takes place on 3 August 2019,14h00 at SuperSport Park Stadium in Centurion.
